Taking styling cues from the motorbikes that compete in the Paris-Dakar rally, big trailies offer a different take on the riding experience. Sitting up high they give a dominant view of the road ahead and are highly manoeuvrable thanks to wide handlebars. Wind resistance curtails top speeds but they are very practical and are very suitable for Irish roads, but they tend to be far to heavy for any serious off roading. Medium to high insurance cost.

Should I Buy One? You've got to be reasonably tall to be able to get on one but once there you'll feel king of the road. The advantage of being so high up will have many benefits in the city - it helps not only to be seen by others but also to get a clear view over cars on the road ahead. They also make good tourers due to their large capacity engines and comfortable riding position. If sportsbikes are not your thing then these can be a good alternative.
