Based on the famous styling of Harley Davidson nearly every major motorcycle manufacturer makes cruisers in a variety of sizes. That's because they are are immensely popular the world over. Cruisers are all about riding in style, how you travel ranks way above how long it takes. The bikes gleam with chrome, have low seats and wide bars. They are invariably powered by a V-twin engine in a lazy state of tune doling out smooth torque from tickover.

Should I Buy One? Cruisers are often sneered at because they use old-fashioned technology and are all about about show - not go! If you're choosing a bike because you want exhilaration, adrenaline and performance then look elsewhere. If it's the style (or a low seat) you're after then you can't go wrong. They are not that practical for Irish roads due to lack of suspension travel and cornering ability.
