Comfortable enough to ride to the south of France in a day and sporty enough to head off up the mountain pass once you're there. Sports tourers are the bikes which can do it all. They can take a passenger in enough luxury to maintain your relationship and will have panniers to carry all you need. Naturally their all-round nature means there are compromises. There are comfier bikes and there are faster bikes but these models give you the oppurtunity to get lots of use out of one bike.
